10. Rain. In January. No. Really. Apparently my ski pants are no longer waterproof.
9. People teaching their children how to ski by saying, "Okay, now just point your skis down the hill...No...stop...turn...watch out for that...turn! Turn dang (word has been changed because this is a family friendly site) it!" Come on already! Pay for a dang lesson! Your child will thank you someday when they don't have a broken leg!
8. Children on leashes. while skiing. yeah, that will really teach them how to ski on their own.
7. People skiing in jeans.
6. Flourescent ski gear from the early 90's. My favorite was the old guy in pink from head to toe.
5. Friends teaching friends how to ski by saying, "Just do what those ski instructors are doing." While eavesdropping on one of our clinics. But at least they're not putting them on leashes.
4. Groups of ski instructors "learning" how to ski in a perfect wedge. You would think at this point we would know how to do that, but you'd be surprised at the skill needed to perform the perfect wedge demo.
3. Men skiing with their babies in backpacks (you know, the hiking kind). Not very safe.
2. Trucks slid off into the river because they were driving way too fast down the canyon. Why is it always the people with 4-wheel drive stuck in the snow on the side of the road? Hmmmm.
1. Ski instructors skiing with garbage bags over their uniforms and taped to their legs because apparently nobody's uniform is waterproof.
Hope you all had a great weekend. I sure did!
