Today I decided to hike Spanish Fork Peak, which is the mountain between Maple Canyon (Mapleton) and Spanish Fork Canyon. The trail is pretty steep as it climbs 4580 feet in 5.2 miles.
Unfortunately, I was not able to reach the summit due to a large snow field that was blocking the trail.
I had to settle for a lower peak which still offered beautiful views.
Overall, it was an enjoyable hike. I wouldn't recommend it for kids as it is pretty steep and the trail is also pretty rocky. I think I will hike it again in another month after the snow has completely melted so I can say that I have completely conquered the mountain.
